    In our Group, we place great importance on "Assessment Ability". Since used cars have different conditions for each vehicle, the purchasing staff required to have ability to determine the vehicle conditions in a short period time, evaluate the vehicle if it meets the standard of the customers requirement, and to make a successful bid at an appropriate price. To have high "Assessment Ability", it requires high standard specialist knowledge and rich experience.
  • BIO Inspection
    This is a quarantine inspection that checks for soil, plants and animal materials on the body of a used car before loading in to a shipping vessel. It comes from the word “Biosecurity”.
  • CASE
    CASE is a term that has been created from initial of 4 key words that are supposed to indicate future trends in the automobile industry. C is from word "Connected" and it refers to improvement of communication functions. Improve safety by developing communication function such as “Car and Car” “Car and Road”, that enrich driving information and entertainment functions. A is from “Autonomous” that is literally a technology for automatically driving a car. S is for “Shared & Service”, it has been common to individually own a car until now, but this idea is to spread new ways of "joint ownership" and "rent when needed". E is for “Electric” and this is to increase the number of EV (electric vehicles) and hybrid vehicles against environmental and resource issues.

    It is a traders that performs advance maintenance so that imported cars can undergo a vehicle inspection.
  • Conflict of Interest
    In general, it means when one side benefits from an action, the other suffers a disadvantage.
    In our group, we have a company that conducts import inspection of used cars in New Zealand, also a company that conducts export inspection of used cars to New Zealand, and therefore we have a potential of conflict of interest risk. Current business operation system is in the level required by the New Zealand authorities in relation to conflicts of interest for the businesses involved in import car certification, and there are no issues found. In order to strengthen further our management system for potential conflicts of interest, we have established Conflict of Interest Special Committee.
  • Custom clearance
    It is a series of procedures to obtaining import / export permission when the person who exports or imports the cargo, declare specified items such as Freight item, quantity, price etc. to Customs, and undergo necessary inspection, and pay customs duties if its importing.

Under Japanese law, it is defined as Consigned Freight Transportation Business Operator. They operates international transportation, customs clearance, preparation of transportation documents, storage and packing of cargo in distribution facilities, and delivery. In recent years, they are required to provide high-value-added services such as inventory optimization and logistics computerization, rather than simply transporting cargo.


  • Heat Treatment facility
    It is a facility for terminating harmful insects attached to cars before exporting by high temperature.
    At our group company Japan Export Vehicle Inspection Center Co., Ltd. (JEVIC) have obtained a patent as of November 15, 2019 for the "device" of the facility installed at each business site, which uses the "method" of killing harmful insects attached to automobiles by applying high temperature treatment to the automobile by this device before exporting. We also have patents in Australia and South Korea, and patents pending in other overseas countries.
  • Import vehicle inspection
    This is a vehicle inspection based on the law and regulation in the importing country when a used car is exported to the destination.
  • ISO/IEC17020 approval
    ISO is short for International Organization for Standardization. An organization that develops international standards excluding the fields of electrical and electronics.
    IEC is short for International Electrotechnical Commission. An organization that develops international standards in the electrical and electronic fields that are not handled by ISO.
    ISO/IEC17020 defines the standards for the competence of inspection agencies among the numerous standards by both organizations.
    Inspection reports (inspection certificates) of certification of ISO/IEC 17020 issued by inspection bodies will have a certain level of reliability.

  • Pre Shipment Inspection

    Generally, it means the space for loading cargo in a cargo vessel, but with operation of our group, it refers to the space in a car carrier vessel where cars are loaded.
    Dolphin Shipping New Zealand Limited and Dolphin Shipping Australia Pty Ltd that is operating used car marine shipment in our group does not won their own vessels for the transportation, therefore they are renting cargo space from a shipping company that owns and operates car carriers.

    In New Zealand, the largest market for our business, we are providing a series of services such as purchasing, inspection, transportation, sales, maintenance related to used car importing with our group. This is called “Value Chain” in our group.
    Our group companies and partner companies are providing used car purchase from Japanese car auction business, cleaning / maintenance / inspection / quarantine, marine transportation, import vehicle inspection service for exporting, auto loan, maintenance as after-services, also services for end users.
